Geometrics
Geometrics is a powerful productivity and educational tool for the professional or student.
First, Geometrics is a shape solver. After you provide the right combination of dimensions for a shape, the app determines the rest and then calculates the area and perimeter. Geometrics supports these common two-dimensional shapes:
- Circular: circle, ellipse, sector, segment, ring sector
- Triangles: right, equilateral, isosceles, acute, obtuse
- Quads: square, rectangle, trapezoid, parallelogram, rhombus
- Polygons: pentagon to icosagon (20-sided)
Angles can be in degrees or radians and you can easily convert between the two units.
Next, Geometrics manages a group of shape areas. With a simple tap, the app remembers the shape you just solved and then sums the remembered shape areas to provide a total area. You can view and edit saved shapes at any time. Each shape can be scaled to a fraction of the original area. (For example, you only want to sum 1/2 of the area of a hexagon.). You can even subtract a shape area instead of adding it. (Imagine a circle with a square cut out of its center.)
Finally, Geometrics can e-mail a report of the saved shapes. The e-mail contains a table that makes it easy to copy/paste into your spreadsheet program!
